Mission:  Creating Community, Providing Education, and Encouraging Sustainability Through Community Gardening

website:  www.tricyclegardens.org

Tricycle Gardens is a community garden located in Church Hill on Jefferson Avenue between 23rd and 24th Streets.  Since the Garden's first growing season in 2004, sixteen raised beds, pebble paths, a fence, and a garden shed have been built through community work days.

Membership
Plots in Tricycle Gardens may be rented for an annual fee of $60.  This fee includes use of plot for all of the current year, storage shed and tools, water, member notebook, workshops and being part of cool & fun network of gardeners!  Renters are required to sign a plot lease agreement and must begin garden activities by May 1st, or the plot may be given to someone on waiting list.  For more details on plot availability, contact Susann Whittier, (804)648-2322.

Kid’s Garden Plot
One plot is available for rent by organizations that work with children. This raised bed plot has already been established, contains some plants and many children’s gardening resources including possible volunteers are available. Contact Stacey Moulds, (804)241-6242 for more information or to volunteer with the Kid’s Garden.

Tricycle Gardens is growing and in the process of becoming an independent non-profit organization. Donations of garden tools and money are welcomed.
