One of the Foundation’s policies with respect to its partner
groups is to encourage them to grow, become self-sustaining, and
if they choose, apply for their own tax-exempt, non-profit
status, thus becoming independent of the Foundation (all funds
are turned over to the group when it “graduates”. )
Several former Foundation partners have attained their own
independence, but remain affiliated with the Foundation, still
sharing common goals and memberships.
