TREE THE TRACK!
Help restore shade to the Byrd Park Vita Course
What?
A three-year project of Friends of William Byrd Park (FOWBP), Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Facilities, Public Works, and the Richmond Recreation and Parks Foundation to replace the large number of trees that have been lost to old age and storms in the last decade.
When?
December 1, 2009 - Donations due to help buy trees for the January 2010 planting
January 23, 2010 - Plant 20 new trees near the beginning of the Course
2011 through 2012 - Plant many more trees in other areas along the Course
How?
Volunteer to plant, water, and mulch the young trees and/or make a tax-deductible donation to help buy a tree.

All donations made to the Foundation are tax deductible. A $50 donation will help to purchase one tree.
